Punkin Pickin'

After much careful inspection, Jude finally picked us out a couple of beautiful pumpkins. Once we were through pickin' pumpkins Jude got to check out the Emery Farm animals. He got to see some goats, a sheep, some rabbits, a couple of noisy geese, and he even pet a friendly cow. (He's frightened of any simulated cow noise. A few of his toys bring instant tears.) Luckily Bella Boy wasn't feeling vocal that day.

Books

It's like reading the morning news when it comes to Jude's morning routine. Often, he goes straight for the books, pulls them all off of the shelf, and then begins telling a story.

Fall on Welch and Dickey Mountains

A closer look at the leaves....
Nap time...

View from our lunch break....

Another type of break....

We weren't the only ones taking in the views.....

Sunday we enjoyed an extraordinary hike on the Welch-Dickey loop. The fall colors were spectacular!

Liv and the Swing

It was great to visit with Drew and Andrea today before we went to check out a house in their neighborhood. Jude has a small crush on Liv. He's been caught in the act of trying to hold her hand.

Lovin' the Swing

Thursday we got a chance to go to the park with Benjamin and Rebecca. Jude found the swing fascinating. He was going "no-hands" like a roller coaster pro.

Mt. Uncanoonuc

After a day of apple picking, last weekend we took a leisurely hike near Manchester. Jude was very interested in the bark on trees.

Apple Picking

Saturday was the perfect fall day to pick apples. We picked Red
Delicious, Mac's and Cortlands. (Jude's favorite are the Red's.) Jude got to hang with his pal Benjamin, while Joel and I got a chance to catch up with Rebecca and Dan.
