Sunday Dinner

This evening we were invited to have dinner with some friends from church. Joel met Conrad, Cathy, and Charles through one of his classes. Conrad runs a non-profit organization, Child Voice International (www.childvoiceintl.org), providing a voice to those who have been silenced by Africa's longest running conflict. Charles is from Uganda and is in the US to work with Child Voice and to bring awareness to the situation in northern Uganda by telling his story of being a child soldier (www.3-7-1.com/riders_char.php?catID=2, www.usatoday.com/news/nation/2007-07-19-child-soldiers_N.htm). He is currently living with Conrad and Cathy. We were lucky to check out their farm. The calf below was born just last night. These Highland cows are a gentle breed.
