When in doubt of what to do next, we trekked it down to the boardwalk. The fresh air did the body good and Jude was thrilled with the surroundings. Walking with the boys turned out to be the best option for getting together with my cousin Brooke. Not only did we finally get a chance to actually talk, we also got a little exercise too.
Jude and Fisher took turns ringing one of the Coast Guard bells....
Jude could have stayed all day watching the charter fisherman clean their daily catch. It was cool to see all of the freshwater salmon.
Ryer sat back and watched the action too...
On another walk Jude was totally preoccupied with all of the cleats along the river. Every 10 yards or so would be another cleat.... and he let us know it! "Cleat, cleat, cleat, broken-down cleat, cleat..." and so it went the entire way to the car. (For those of you who are thinking that cleats are a type of shoe, they are also the metal part used to tie a boat up when docking.)
Jude did A LOT of walking... but just to speed things up a bit, I threw him in the carrier.
