It's been hot, hot, hot.... and one way to cool down is to hit our local swim hole. Having the falls nearby was one of the things that saved me late in my pregnancy. This was the first time Jude got to experience yet another beauty of New Hampshire.

This is Life
One of the simple pleasures of being a teacher, is having a flexible summer schedule. Drew and Joel were able to take off on a Thursday to head to the mountains. The Frankenstein Cliffs and Arethusa Waterfalls are a site to see. Measuring about 176 feet, these are the tallest falls in New Hampshire.

Welch-Dickey Mountains
Sunday we hit the White Mountains...we peaked both the Welch and Dickey Mountains. The views were phenomenal. All in all it was a wonderful hike....we even got a sneak preview to some early blueberries.
Atop Dickey Mountain.... Looking at Mount Welch
The biggest cairn we've ever seen....
Steep and exposed granite.... they don't call it The Granite State for nothin'...
One very tired and muddy doggy...

Biking on the 4th
Our big biking debut went over like a lead balloon. We had high hopes of parking the car at Odiorne Point State Park and biking on the path along the coast of New Hampshire. Unfortunately, Jude had other plans.... by the time we got adjusted correctly, Jude was adamant about taking his helmet off. We didn't even make it out of the parking lot. Better luck next time?
Who Needs a Walker?
Jude's decided that he can push just about anything around the room. Who can blame him, it's a way to avoid carpet burn.
