Jude got a chance to show Papa his new swimming skills at the new YMCA in Rochester Hills. His lips were almost as blue as his bathing suit but he didn't want to leave. He loves his hot showers with Daddy!

After a celebratory dinner we headed out to Rochester Hills Brewery to meet up with friends....

Big Ball Bowling

As called in the Northeast, Jude got to experience his first game of "Big Ball Bowling." Tuesday, we rolled into the parking lot and unloaded into the alley. With the help of bumpers and a metal ramp, the ball was able to make it all the way down the lane.

Broken Sled

Thank goodness for the ole' runner sled.... Due to the lack of a heavy snow and a plethera of exposed roots, Joel and Jude snapped an old disc sled in two. (Jude found this hilarious.) Although it's old, the runner sled worked just fine. Grandma Ruth to the rescue.... while out running errands, she picked up another disc sled. The next day Uncle Dave and Jude snapped that one in two. Guess we'll just stick with what we know works.... runner sled it is....

Secret Recipe

Grandma allowed Jude to get in on some morning action. He got to see first hand how to make her famous Christmas coffee cakes. Hopefully he'll be able to replicate her secret recipe when we get home....

Decorating the Tree

Sunday, after church, Jude had his first tree decorating experience. He was impressed with all of the trees at the rest stops along the turnpikes from NH to MI. He's been interested in all of the "fake" gifts under the trees. So, actually getting to decorate Grandma and Papa's tree was a special treat. And he's super excited for Santa to come and bring presents to put under Grandma and Papa's tree!







Although Levi hasn't been able to take part in all of the Christmas activities, he's been having a great time getting to know his extended family!
