Spring Break 2011

The beginning of Joel's break started with a bang this year. Without wasting time, we started some demolition in the downstairs bathroom. Time for a complete overhaul....

Knowing that part of our plan for the week included visiting some butterflies, Grandma and Papa sent along some gifts to prep the boys. Jude loved playing with the butterfly stamps. He's proudly showing off his stamped belly....

St. Patrick's Day was warm and pleasant. With corned beef and cabbage waiting for us in the crock pot, we headed out for an afternoon at the beach.

Friday was the perfect day for our trip to The Butterfly Place. With temps. reaching into the 70's we enjoyed our day out and about....
There were hundreds of butterflies dancing about in the gardens....

It was tough to keep Jude from touching all of the butterflies. He was so eager to get one to land on his finger. Levi was in a complete state of bliss. One of his favorite things lately have been butterflies. It was so special to see his reaction as he met his first real butterflies....

Levi did a wonderful job of staying on the paths and keeping his hands to himself....he was totally mesmerized.
The warm, moist air made Jude feel a bit sleepy....

We left around lunch time.... Levi was starting to get a little cranky. He was clearly showing signs of hunger and thirst. (You can see him starting to break down in the last video.)

Levi 18 Months

At the beginning of this month we took Levi for his 18 month check-up. Despite having to get 1 shot, he kept it together fairly well. Not unlike his older brother, Levi measured in the 5% for weight (22 lbs and some change) and in the 25% for height (I'm horrible...I can't remember how many inches that makes him). Although he had a cold, Levi looks healthy! We are still a bit concerned about his lack of speech. It sounds like we'll be taking him for a speech evaluation in the next month or so.

Highlights February/March

For those of you that have been waiting for some new pictures, here they come....

We're looking forward to spring. Puddles in March are one sign that we're getting closer. Levi loves watching the airplanes and birds fly overhead!

Jude doesn't always listen to advice given to him. He got all wet after splashing in the puddle. In frustration, he took his wet pants off. It seemed like a good solution to him....

My goofy little cuddler...
Thanks to Grandma and Papa for the play food. We've been enjoying many meals the boys have prepared for us.

Movie night with Daddy....some old Muppets shows.
The new Car and Driver was delivered today....

Helping out is the name of the game when it comes to the vacuum. Finally, Jude is no longer afraid of this machine. Instead, when we vacuum, we have to drag two boys along with the vacuum across the rugs.
