Seacoast Science Center

Running out of rainy day activities, we made our way to the coast today. As much as Jude would have preferred the beach, the Seacoast Science Center was a good alternative.

He loved the petting pool. He couldn't get enough of the starfish.

Liv and Andrea came to the center today too... always great to have friends around!
Believe it or not... he was very gentle.
Jude had a hard time saying good-bye to the rowboat. A few older boys came in and took over...I guess it's kind of like a lesson on pirates. Aye' Matey!

Checkin' himself out on Andrea's camera....

Rainy Days

Jude has so much fun puddle-jumpin'. It's hard to refuse the cry to go outside...especially when it's rained almost every day so far in the month of June. His latest puddle-jumpin' action is to sit right down and start a'splashin'. It's as if we were playing in the puddles at the beach...but who can blame him?

We've been taking full advantage of our membership to the Children's Museum. Jude wakes up in the morning saying, "Museum?". While I was at my dentist appointment, Joel got a chance to take Jude to the museum. They discovered the kitchen...and Jude had no interest in going upstairs to play with the trains. I guess he's found a new love for cooking. Watch out Ruth and Angel....you may have some competition.

Happy "Daddy's" Day

Although the weather wasn't cooperating with Father's Day this year, Jude got to spend some quality time with his "Daddy" inside. The duo spent time playing with the Cozy Coupe, reading books, and playing Matchbox Cars.

Nervous Nelly

There's no way better to make Jack nervous than to give Jude a ride around the house.

Jude's quickly learning that you need to make sure you have gas in your car before you can take it out for a spin. Vvrrrooooommm!

Life is Good Festival

The Life is Good Festival was the perfect excuse to escape down to Boston for a day. Jude was impressed by the tall buildings, Ray was impressed with Joel's ability to parallel park the van on a busy street amid traffic and navigating into a tight space. We had a terrific time with the Doucet's at the kids festival.

Ben, Rebecca, and Dan Doucet

Tickle Tickle...Rebecca knows just what Jude loves

And yes.... we were here....

Plenty of dancing....

He's still working on getting airborne.....

Cozy Coupe

One of Jude's favorite summer-time activities is to take a trip to the local petting farm. He isn't so much interested in the goats, sheep, cows, bunnies, geese, and chickens....it's the Cozy Coupe cars that he enjoys taking for a spin. Rated the top-selling car in America over the past 30-years, we finally broke down to get Jude his very own ride.

Capn' of His Own Ship

Yet another fun-filled morning at the museum.... Jude's finally venturing out further than the trains and kitties.

Ahoy Capn'

Future brick-layer?

Perhaps he'll take after his Uncles Thom and Matt?

Into the Wild

Jude's #1 task yesterday at the beach was to release the seaweed from being landlocked back into the wild. He's was busily cleaning up the beach as he braved the frigid waters. He also discovered what a thrill it was to sit in the waves as they lapped up onto the shore.....it won't be long until he's full-on body surfing. He was facinated with barnacles and how some seaweed hangs on to the rocks.

Oh- and he had his first of many skinny-dipping experiences. We stripped him down and rinsed him off before wrapping him up in his towvel. (He pronounces his w's like v's...so very German of him, don't you think?)

A Walk in the Woods

This was the perfect morning for a walk around the pond at Northwood Meadows. Jude and Ben had a great time jibber-jabboring back and forth as we walked through the woods. They were picking up quickly how to get Jack to heel and to come..... both of them are begining the copy-cat stage. (We really have to watch what we say these days.) Dan and Ben made super hiking companions!
