3 Months

Can you believe it?  I'm already a quarter of a year old.  I've made it through the first critical milestone completely healthily.  Here are a few highlights from my last month:

Mom says that I've done a much better job eating.  I'm latching on without swallowing quite as much air.  This makes me so much happier and a little less gassy too.  I guess my parents can start giving the bottle another try again.

Now that I'm eating more regularly my bowels are working more regularly too.  This makes my parents much less stressed out.  Thank goodness, I don't like them to worry about me.

Speaking of regularity, my sleep is becoming more regular too.  I'm able to soothe myself to sleep pretty good now.  I usually let out a whimper or two, but there are a lot fewer cries when it comes to sleep.  At night, I'm still waking Mommy up quite a few times to eat, but I fall right back to sleep.  Soon I'll be moving out of Mommy and Daddy's room.  We're just about through with guests coming to visit, so it's time for me to learn to sleep in my own room.f

Each day I'm growing stronger and stronger.  I still love to stand up.  Any day now my parents will bring out the exersaucer for me to play in.  My neck muscles are getting stronger too.  It's getting easier for me to keep my head up for longer periods of time.

Lately I've been all smiles.  I'm trying my hardest to start to talk.  When I open my mouth to talk sometimes I giggle.  Other times the sounds ooh comes out.  Jude does the best with interpreting my language.  He can often read my mind and tell everyone what trying to say.

Overall, I'd say I'm growing at a steady rate.  Roughly, I weigh in between 12 and 13 lbs.  I'm right in between 0-3 month clothes and 3-6 month clothes.  It's fun to try some new styles out as I'm getting into this bigger size.  I've gone up in diaper sizes this month too.  I'm now wearing size 2 Pampers Swaddlers.  It won't be long until I start to wear my brothers Bum Genius cloth diapers.

Play with Joey

As soon as a guest comes to visit the boys demand a trip to Play in Lee, NH.  Play has bouncy houses galore, foam balls, plasma cars, climbing walls, costumes, pirate ships, and more.  The boys bounce their hearts out and almost always will nap afterward.

Bubble Beards

The boys love their bubble baths!  This particular night they were having a blast making beards out of all of the suds.

Cutie

Fun With JoJo

This week we have been thrilled to have Auntie Joey here for a visit.  It had been almost 2 years since we had last seen her (Levi wasn't even walking yet).  Long overdue, we were so excited to hear that she was on her way up north for a visit!  The kids put her right to work, and she has done a wonderful job of entertaining us.  We went to the beach at Great Island Commons in Newcastle.  On the playground the boys enjoyed showing her the ropes.  Jude was happy when she joined him on the teeter-totter.  They also loved riding on the swings spider style.

Once again the boys found many clues or treasures in the tide pools.  They were ticked when they were able to capture some small shrimp, a tiny crab, many snails, and a couple of pieces of sea glass.
Joey would not miss the opportunity to bring Jack along for a swim.  With Joey visiting he has been getting plenty of attention.

Happy Days

It seems that every day that goes by, we're seeing more and more smiles come from Ana.  Now that we're getting into a rhythm she's a joy to be around.

Art Show

Jude just couldn't wait until April 17.  This was the day that he could show off all of the art that he had made throughout the year in preschool.  His classroom was transformed into a studio to show off all of the students hard work.  Jude has been transformed from a boy who didn't like to do anything other than play cars into a kids who just can't get enough art!

This conversation happened early in the year.  We just had to take a picture...so cute!

Why Not?

The boys found some old sparklers in a drawer.  They were filled with wonder as they watched the sparks fly.

The weather was warming up so we decided to go to one of our favorite beaches/playgrounds....

The boys had such a good time searching around in the tide pools that we had to go back again with the Caswell's.  Marsey and the girls came down to keep me company while Joel was in Boston running the marathon.  We're so proud that he finished the race in 80 degree heat.  It wasn't a record breaking race as far as times go, perhaps for high temps though.  The heat slowed everyone down a bit.  We were happy to have the best husband/daddy come back home safely to us.

Feeling Groovy

 Sometimes we're just feelin' goofy....

 Other times we're feelin' groovy....
