Monday Funday

With warmer weather (in the 60's) and a day off of work (Veteran's Day Observed), we couldn't pass up the chance to play at the beach (in November).  We had great luck finding treasures in the tide pools.  The tide was out the furthest we had ever seen, leaving many creatures exposed to little curious eyes.

 Snuggles with AnaLeah....

Couldn't resist adding a shot with her teeth... I just love the gap!

All good things must come to an end.....

8 and 9 Months

Okie dokie... there really is no excuse.  I'm just plain behind.  Two months have passed by, and here I am.  In case you were wondering, I am indeed still alive and kickin'.  It's just hard to get me to sit still long enough to tell ya all about it.  (And yes, there really was a month between the two pictures... my growth has just slowed down.)

Where to start?  I've been so busy it's hard to know what to tell ya about first.  I guess I could start with the reason month 8 was so delayed.  I got my first cold.  It was the pits.  Mom got this really nifty thing called a Snotsucker, and that it did!  I wasn't a fan of it at first, but after a few tries I giggled each time I saw the contraption make its appearance.  It sure beat having a stuffy and runny nose.

Shortly after I (and the rest of my family) got over our sickness we had some very special visitors come to New Hampshire.  Grandma and Papa Hartter, and the rest of the Hartter crew came here to surprise Papa for his 70th birthday.  We had a fabulous time playing at the beach.  The week flew by as we celebrated!

I would have loved to sink my 4 teeth into one of his delicious birthday cupcakes or a slice of his scrumptious pumpkin pie, but Mom and Dad said that I would have to wait.  It has taken me a while, but I'm finally getting the hang of eating pureed foods.  I eat pretty much anything that is soft and mushy, but my favorites are chicken/apple, sweet potato/corn, and pears.  Most recently I've learned to swallow Cheerios and other foods with a little texture.  Up until this point I would use my pincer grasp to feed myself and then use my tongue to push the food right back out of my mouth.  And boy oh boy, I sure do love to make a mess!

At 9 months it was time to go back for a little check-up at the doctors office.  I got a chance to meet one of the nurse practitioners in the office.  On the scale I weighed in at 18 lbs and 9 ounces (which puts me at the 50th percentile for weight).  For height, I measured 27.5 inches (which puts me at the 50h percentile for height).  So basically, I'm a picture of good health!

My laid back personality is a joy to be around, so everyone seems to say.  It doesn't take much to keep me entertained.  With my brothers running to and fro, I always have some kind of show to watch.  Perhaps this is why it's taken me a while to get mobile.  Right now, I'm pretty slow going.... not able to move forward much at all.  It won't be long until I'm right in the thick of it with my brothers though...so they had better watch out.  I'm all fours on the floor and scooting backwards.  It's just a matter of time before I can have my way with all of their trains, planes, and automobiles!

Well, I'm off to bed!  I'm finally sleeping through the night (or at least some of the nights).  Sweet dreams....

Whole Hartter Family

Random Acts of Cuteness

Fall Favorites

I keep saying to myself, I'm going to find the time to blog.... well months have passed by and I haven't posted a single picture.  Finally, without being too harsh on myself, I'm going to post some pictures.  As much as I'd love to narrate all of the photos, it just may not happen....at least for a while.

No words are really needed, right?

Here are the kids all ready to trick-or-treat!  I just love that they got to go this Halloween with their cousin Noah (aka foggie).
