First Swim of the Season

Avid Lab lovers would all agree... it doesn't matter what temp. the water is, they will swim in anything. With the thermometer reaching close to 60 today, we thought it would be the perfect time to take Jack for his first swim of the season. (We have to endure the cold water that he shakes off each time he exits the river.) So, we loaded up the MV and headed down the road to our local watering hole on the Lamprey River.

Jude couldn't resist the temptation set out in front of him. So, off went his shoes, socks, and jeans... and in went his feet, ankles, legs, and hands. It was bitterly cold, but he was having a blast. (Notice that my shoes, socks, and jeans are still covering my body....too cold for me!)

He giggled with glee each time Jack came back with his ball. Jude loved every minute of this experience... the cold water, the rocks, Jack shaking off, and he even enjoyed watching Jack get toweled off before loading into the van. (When we got home, Jude wanted a chance to dry Jack off too. He went straight for the towels that we had hung out to dry. Jack behaved nicely, and Jude got his chance to wipe him down.)
