Jude loves to read his Richard Scarry book, CARS and TRUCKS and THINGS THAT GO! Just about every day he asks either Joel or me to read the book to him. Recently, we realized that he can read the book to us too. He says that he has "Rememberized it!" At least he has the first 30 pages or so memorized word for word.

Pinni-auto Party
This past weekend Jude and I got to attend his friend Ben's 3rd birthday party. (Levi and Joel stayed home sick.) The theme of the party was firetrucks. The fire department made a special visit with one of their fire trucks and an ambulance. Jude was excited to be able to climb aboard both of the trucks.
After dinner the kids took turns whacking the firetruck pinata. The pinata was filled with all kinds of candy and toys, including Matchbox cars.... hence the phrase that Jude coined "Pinni-auto."

Parks and Playgrounds
In just a short few weeks our boys have yet again evolved in their playground activities. Jude is much more brave and has been climbing structures on his own. Levi no longer wants to be confined to a stroller or carrier. He's on the move and ready to discover on his own.
Before we left to go to the beach last week we gave each of the boys a fudge striped cookie. On our way Jude says, "What's wrong with Levi?" Both Joel and I immediately turn our heads to discover this:
Both boys were giggling so hard. Jude has been calling Levi his little cookie monster ever since....
The weather was so nice on Saturday that we decided to take a bike ride to the school playground. This was Levi's first ride. This is what he thought of the experience.....
He was fine by the time we arrived. We had a great time playing but the ride home was another story....

Healthy Boys
Earlier this month both boys had their well-child visits. We weren't able to meet with our normal Dr. , but Dr. Gates gave us two thumbs up. Jude was 28 lbs. and 36 inches. (That puts him in the 10-25th percentiles for both weight and height.) Levi was 20.10 lbs. and 30 inches. Watch out Jude, your brother is catchin' up.
Dr. Gates had a talk with Jude about where he needs to go potty. I think something must have registered because he's doing a great job going on the big boy potty now!
