All good things must come to an end..... Uncle Steve had to say good-bye yesterday. Because he had a flight out of Portland, ME... We sneaked up to Brunswick to say a quick hello to Levi's cousins.
Jud got a chance to meet Levi for the first time.
It was a gorgeous fall afternoon so we decided to take advantage of the beautiful weather. We took a stroll to the Brunswick Pinnacle, the highest point in Brunswick.Although it's past peak for the fall colors, the golden forest was still amazing.

First Hike
This hike was filled with firsts. It was Levi's first hike ever. It was my first hike of the season (and possibly the last, given the weather). It was Steve's first hike carrying a kid. And it was one of our first hikes without our four-legged friend, Jack. (He's still having major issues with his feet...just underwent another surgery today.)
Very Taken By Steve
Uncle Steve's up from Florida for a visit and Jude just can't get enough of him. He loves having an audience, and Steve loves to watch. We're heading to the New England Aquarium tomorrow (Steve used to volunteer there before taking a position at the Florida Aquarium). We can't wait to get the inside scoop from Scuba Steve.
Pre-Halloween Treat
Saturday afternoon we were graced with the presence of a beautiful mermaid and a lovely ballerina. The Caswell's came down to do some pre-Halloween celebrating. We got a chance to get aquainted with Jack's new cousin, Calvin...such a cutie. Mars made some delicious soup for lunch. The girls decorated some awesome devil's food cake cupcakes for dessert.
While Jude was napping, all of the girls took an outing to see the horses (they even have a Palamino in the barn now... the same type that Grammy used to ride). As luck would have it, the ferriers were there shoeing the horses. It was fun to get an up close look at the process. After the horses, we were off see the smelly cows. We were in luck again... they were milking the cows. It was an extra part of the tour that we were not expecting to see.
When Jude got up, it was time for a one-stop shop...a little pre-treating. (Unfortunately, our picky Jude refuses to wear his new tiger costume.) After snack time (and play-doh) we topped some pizza with toppings of our own and had a quick bite to eat. All-in-all it was another fabulous visit!
