The Lamprey River, a local favorite, is a great place to ride some rapids. Learning the hard way, we discovered that helmets are needed after a good rainfall. Uncle Dave, Joel, the boys, AnaLeah, and I all drove over to Newmarket to cool down in the falls. For the most part we just played in the river, out of the rapids. Uncle Dave took one fateful trip down the rapids and ended up having to take a trip to the ER to get 4 stitches in his head.
